Toolmetrics Engineers manufactures HDPE components to customer drawings from Hyderabad, principally food-grade elevator buckets and product-contact parts for grain and food processing. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, and every moulded component is produced against your released drawing, an approved sample or a written specification.

What HDPE is the right material for
HDPE is the working material for product-contact parts that must be cleanable, non-corroding and safe against contamination. It takes impact without cracking, sheds product rather than holding it, and stands up to the cleaning chemistry used on food and grain lines — which is why elevator buckets and food-contact fittings are moulded in food-grade HDPE rather than metal.
The food-blue colour is functional rather than cosmetic. Blue does not occur in grain, flour or feed, so a fragment of a broken bucket is visible against the product it was carrying. That is the reason the colour is specified on food lines, and it is why we mould buckets in food-blue as standard.
HDPE is also light enough to matter on a bucket elevator. A vertical leg carries its buckets on a belt, and every gram of bucket is weight the belt and the head shaft carry on every revolution for the life of the installation.
HDPE elevator buckets
Elevator buckets do the lifting in bucket elevators — the vertical legs that move grain, flour and feed through mills, feed plants and silo installations rated from 50 to 300 TPH. We injection-mould deep-formed and shovel-type buckets in food-grade polymer, in a family of sizes.
Three features decide whether a replacement bucket works. The deep-formed cup sets carrying capacity. The reinforced lip is what survives digging into the product column at the boot, which is where a bucket does its hardest work and where a thin lip fails first. And the twin bolt mounting holes must match your belt’s existing punching, so a changeover is bolt-off, bolt-on rather than a re-drilling job on a stopped line.
Reinforcement ribs on the back of the bucket carry the load from the lip into the mounting holes. That is the load path that matters on a bucket, and it is the reason a bucket is designed as a formed shell rather than a simple scoop.
Food-grade and hygienic requirements
Food-processing machinery needs contact parts that are cleanable, non-corroding and safe against product contamination. The hygienic requirements live in the details: surfaces without crevices that trap product, materials that stand up to cleaning chemistry, and geometry that drains rather than pools.
Those decisions are carried on your drawing. Our review confirms manufacturability against it and flags anything that would compromise the hygienic intent before the component is produced — a rib that creates a pocket, or a radius too tight to clean, is worth catching before a batch rather than after.
For repeat supply, batch references mean an approved bucket or fitting is re-produced to the same drawing revision and the same inspection requirements each time, so a bucket ordered two seasons later fits the same belt punching as the one it replaces.

- Can you produce a bucket if we have no drawing?
- Usually yes. A sample with dimensions and photographs is a workable starting point — we confirm the material and the critical features, including the bolt-hole pitch, before producing anything.
